Sawbones Book Tour (Feb 2024)

In Feb 2024,  author and speaker Andy Peck conducted an exciting tour across Tennessee and North Carolina to teach about Sawbones and the Pecks of Mossy Creek! He shared stories of the sensational fake news story about volcanoes in the Blue Ridge Mountains, how the Union Army encamped at the Peck home during the Battle of Mossy Creek, the gold rush of 1849, and much much more! Days

Andy hosted a Cross Mountain Books booth at Del Rio Days on Sat, Oct 22nd, 2022 from 10am-5pm. Guests met Editor and Author Andy Peck, had books signed, and learned about Wolf Creek History. They also picked up a 50th anniversary hardcover edition of Christy, the best-selling novel by Catherine Marshall. The event was located across the street from Del Rio Elementary School in Del Rio, Tennessee.

Past Events: Peck Family Reunion July 2021

Cross Mountain Books and the Mossy Creek Foundation sponsored a Peck Family Reunion in July 2021. The Creek Downtown and the Lost Creek Mercantile also hosted book signings for Pecks of Mossy Creek Series Editor Andy Peck and his book "Ada's Journal and Emma's Letters." 25 Pecks attended from 4 states. The original Ada's Journal was also on display. Thanks to everyone who participated!

October 2021 Pecks of Mossy Creek Book Tour with Series Editor Andy Peck

Many thanks to all who made the October 2021 Book Tour possible! Special thanks to Linda Gass, Teresa Collins, April Reed, David Needs, Ike Lassiter, and Elmer Hall. Also, thank you to the entire Jefferson County Library System, including each library, director, and staff member for hosting Cross Mountain Books at their library! Thank you to the Morristown-Hamblen Library, the Hamblen County Archivist, and Hamblen County Register of Deeds Jim Clawson. A hardcover color edition of Charley's Novel will be included in the Hamblen County time capsule, to be dedicated in January 2022. This capsule will be opened in 2072. Cross Mountain Books' is honored that our publication will be included in this historic event. We are looking forward to the next tour!
